Korean puppetry is creating new works that cross genre boundaries, thanks to a recent influx of young puppeteers. This trend is also evident in the regular work of the Chuncheon Puppet Theatre, which offers constantly renewed experiences. The Chuncheon Puppet Festival has been running since 1989, and this year marks its 35th anniversary. Over 10,000 visitors attend the festival every year. The festival even plans to host the UNIMA Congress in 2025.
