The Maribor Puppet Theatre is located in the renovated Minority Monastery of Lent in the southwest corner of the city walls, between the Judgment Tower and the i?ki dvor. The renovated spaces, no longer used for sacred, military or residential purposes, offer a privileged setting for the collaborative artistic creation of puppets and associated scenic and musical content.

Cooperation with various institutions, independent organizations and individuals enhances the quality of the exclusive program offered by the theater, brings the proposed content to a wider audience and further popularizes the art of puppetry. The theater invests heavily in education and active development, raising standards in this field of activity. The theater aims to represent an attractive, modern puppet center that – thanks to creative imagination, understanding of the art of puppetry and good organization of additional content – thoughtfully and sensibly addresses even the most demanding audiences of all ages.
