He’s haranguing, clowning around, when out of his suitcases pops: the faun Orpin Pied-de-bouc, a little painter in his spare time; Monsieur Tartignole, a ridiculous leprechaun and yet the world’s greatest acrobat; and Niézaboudka, the Siberian blue bear, playing air musette on her dissonant accordion…

Our cognitive systems get caught up in the game of believing, and give these fantastic beasts a chance to really exist.
