Cultural democratization is at the heart of FIAMS’ values. Through cultural mediation, FIAMS builds bridges between audiences, artists, and performances, enabling everyone to enter the world of puppetry.

Tailored Support

With a strong commitment to making culture accessible to all, FIAMS implements a careful and personalized mediation approach aimed at day camps, early childhood centers (CPE), private seniors’ residences (RPA), long-term care facilities (CHSLD), and other interested organizations.
A specially designed program for young audiences has been developed, with shows selected for their relevance and ability to engage children—both through the themes addressed and their artistic form. Scheduling has also been adapted to facilitate group visits, taking into account their specific organizational constraints.

FIAMS offers comprehensive support before and after performances. Preparatory workshops are provided to offer initial keys for understanding and help audiences better appreciate the shows. Immediately following the performances, a post-show discussion may be held, offering a moment for interaction between the public and the artists to share first impressions and ask questions. Later, follow-up workshops are organized to revisit what was seen and understood through playful and creative activities. This helps sharpen critical thinking and encourages personal reflection.

Cultural Brigade
During FIAMS, a cultural brigade made up of the mediation team is present on-site to inform and guide the public according to their interests. The brigade also introduces each performance before it begins in the indoor program.
